Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. I provide cooperative care training throughout the Perth area.
Travel north of the river is included in the session fee. A small travel fee may apply for appointments south of the river, depending on your location. If you're unsure whether this applies to you, just get in touch and I'll be happy to let you know.
-
Absolutely. All aspects of cooperative care can be successfully taught through virtual coaching, making it a great option for clients outside of Perth or those who prefer to learn from home.
You'll receive the same personalised guidance, training plan, and ongoing support, with coaching tailored to you and your dog's individual needs.

Every dog is different, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer.
Some dogs make excellent progress after a single consultation, particularly if you're confident implementing a training plan independently. Others benefit from ongoing coaching to build skills gradually and work through more complex procedures.
After our initial consultation, I'll recommend the approach that best suits your dog's needs and your goals, whether that's a one-off session or a longer program. My priority is helping you achieve lasting results, not booking unnecessary sessions.
-
My approach is based on the most current protocols and focuses on creating willing participation rather than compliance.
I use reward-based techniques that help dogs feel safe, confident, and in control during everyday handling, grooming, and veterinary procedures. Rather than simply teaching a dog to tolerate care, we work towards building trust so they can actively choose to participate.
Every training plan is tailored to the individual dog, taking into account their learning history, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, and the goals that matter most to your family.
